Jewel Orchid Ludisia Discolor

This orchid is the only orchid that is better known for its foliage than its flower.  It's a stunning black color with beautiful pink stripes.  

While this orchid can tolerate lower light, it is best to ensure that it receives medium to bright indirect light.  Water your orchid when the top of soil begins to dry out.  Use soil with proper aeration to avoid water logging the plant, but also ensure that some soil amendments are present to help retain some moisture.
